Click here to view course photos CHECKPOINT / PORT OF ENTRY CONTRABAND DETECTION COURSE 20 Hour Specialized Course for Border Protection, Port of Entry, Checkpoint, or Entry Gate Personnel Click here to view course purpose The objective of this course is to provide those law enforcement officers and military personnel working at a checkpoint, port of entry, or installation entrance, with an in-depth perspective of current schemes that smugglers are using to hide contraband in vehicles in an effort to thwart detection if searched. The course also includes an 8 hour hands-on training session at a working checkpoint or port of entry. CT-30 CONTRABAND DETECTION KIT CERTIFICATION 1-day Training Course with Hands-on Application and Certification Click here for more information The training will include the opportunity to use the equipment on vehicles loaded with simulated drug packages and on gas tanks with simulated drug packages and compartments inside real fuel tanks. The officers will be tested and receive a certificate of certification upon completion of the class. The class is a must for officers who use the equipment and testify about the detection of contraband in court cases. Each officer will be asked to bring their scope and Density Buster to allow the Instructor to inspect the equipment the officer will be using in the field. The improper use of this equipment has resulted in the ignition of gas vapors resulting in the destruction of vehicles and other property during vehicle searches.
